Crafted from rugged, water repellent 12oz Oilskin (waxed cotton) canvas your Balranald will keep the wind, rain, snow & ice out, while venting excess heat & moisture. The full-size cut provides ample mobility and layering capability. In 1860, Burke & Wills did not have zippers on their clothes, and the Balranald features the traditional double-breasted press-stud front to seal out the elements.

The collar of your Balranald folds up and features a press-stud tab so you can close it up to shield your neck & face on those cold & wet days. Hidden beneath the collar is a row of press studs for attaching an optional hood. The traditional Duster cape serves to catch and shed the rain from your shoulders. The Balranald features two large snap-closure Duster patch pockets to carry your sundries.

Strap & stud adjustable cuffs allow you to tighten down your sleeves when the weather gets wet. Unsnap the rear closure to open the gusseted vent, allowing for a longer stride, or a more comfortable ride, while keeping the water out and your backside dry.

On the Inside, your Balranald Long is lined with a 100% cotton lining featuring a map of the route of the Burke & Wills expedition. A deep, drop-in, interior left breast pocket suitable for today's larger smartphones. Around the knee area you will find leg straps for use when riding the trail, or simply to keep your jacket close to your body on those windy days in the concrete jungle. A hidden row of snaps allows you to shorten your jacket to a 3/4 length for when a shorter Duster is the order of the day.
