Cuff Ankle Sport Sock (Style 47A/B)
- The 47 Series is built on a core of pure Aussie Merino Wool (55%), terry knit into a cushion sole for enhanced moisture wicking and shock absorption.
- Aussie Wool is the best fiber for making a hard-working, hard-playing sock. Wool will not lie down and die like synthetic and other natural fibers. Aussie wool is naturally shaped and behaves like a spring. Always bouncing back and returning to its original shape.
- The Wool center passes moisture to the Mercerized Cotton outer layer.
- Mercerized Cotton is stronger, smoother, more durable, and less likely to irritate skin and pill than regular Cotton. Which translates into being easier on your feet, less skin irritation, and extended wear life for an active lifestyle .
- By getting the moisture off your feet, the 47 Series keeps your feet at a comfortable, steady temperature, while helping keep your feet free of odor, itching, and irritation.
- The Cuff Ankle leg is made of Coolmax®, a synthetic moisture wicking fiber which continues the process of pulling moisture aways from your feet until it can be vented from your shoe.
- The Nylon and Elastane are deployed to create an outer shell for extended wear life, and to provide just enough hug to keep your socks secure during active times.
- No Worries Washing. Machine wash & tumble dry without fear of shrinking or discoloration.
- Made in Australia. Humphrey Law is fully accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia.

Hot Feet – With all due respect to the many man-made insulators available today, pure Australian Merino Wool is still one of the best, most adaptable, insulators on the planet. And certainly, one of the best to put next to your sensitive skin. The Secret? What makes your feet feel Hot (or Cold) is the external temperature impacting the residual moisture on your skin. Aussie Merino Wool iswater repellant , butvapor absorbent . Meaning, your socks will not absorb the water when you’re walking in the rain, or stay drenched in sweat as you hustle through your hectic Life. Aussie Merino can wick away and retain up to 35% of its dry weight in moisture (water vapor) without your socks or feet feeling damp. After that, the wool vents any additional moisture away from your feet. Wool strives to adopt and maintain the temperature of its immediate environment. In this case, your body temperature. Wick away the moisture, and you help regulate the temperature. The more Merino in the mix, the more moisture wicking, and the more temperature control. On the Hot side, you may prefer a sock with a lesser Wool content (ex: 50%-60% vs 60%-95%) which will wick away moisture a little slower, and possibly keep you feeling a little cooler.Sensitive Feet – Crafted from Aussie Merino Wool & even softer Mercerized Cotton, and double-side finished so that there are no loose threads to snag toes or irritate your feet, this sock wears smooth to the touch. The Secret? Humphrey Law starts with the softest, strongest, apparel grade Merino (25 micron). Inside, your foot is surrounded by Terry Knit Wool, maximizing moisture wicking by putting more fleece against your feet. Aussie Merino will not lay down and die when put under pressure like other natural and synthetic fibers. It bounces back. This resilience means your socks provide shock absorption for your feet. Blending the Merino with even softer Mercerized Cotton helps make this sock wear even softer for those with sensitive feet.Sweaty Feet – We all tend to operate at different temperature settings. Whether you “Glow”, “Perspire”, or flat out “Sweat” the best thing you can do for your feet is let them sweat in pure Australian Merino Wool. Aussie Merino is Water Repellant, but Vapor Absorbent, and can wick away up to 35% of its dry weight in moisture (water vapor), without feeling damp. The Mercerized Cotton and Coolmax act as moisture reservoirs. The Terry knit wool passes the moisture off to the other fibers, which in turn vents excess moisture away from your feet and out of the sock. Helping to keep your feet dry, comfortable, and healthy on the most demanding days.Odor Control – Merino wool is naturally odor resistant. Merino’s anti-microbial attributes also help fight the foot fungus we don’t speak about in polite company, but which grows, spreads, itches, and burns, when given a warm, humid environment within which to flourish. Walk, work, sweat, and take your shoes off with confidence and comfort at the end of the day. Don’t tell anybody … you don’t need to wash your Humprey Law Socks after each wearing. Many travelers will rotate 2-3 pairs of socks when on the road for a week.Working Feet – Many working feet work in casual or athletic shoes all day long. Theme Parks, Shopping Malls, Warehouses, Hospitals, you name it. This cushion sole, cuff ankle Sport Sock helps keep your feet comfortable all day.Sporting Feet – This is a Sport Sock for people who want to have some shock absorption to help take pressure off their feet.
