• Hot Feet – With all due respect to the many man-made insulators available today, pure Australian Merino Wool is still one of the best, most adaptable, insulators on the planet. And certainly, one of the best to put next to your sensitive skin. The Secret? What makes your feet feel Hot (or Cold) is the external temperature impacting the residual moisture on your skin. Aussie Merino Wool is water repellant, but vapor absorbent. Meaning, your socks will not absorb the water when you’re walking in the rain, or stay drenched in sweat as you hustle through your hectic Life. Aussie Merino can wick away and retain up to 35% of its dry weight in moisture (water vapor) without your socks or feet feeling damp. After that, the wool vents any additional moisture away from your feet. Wool strives to adopt and maintain the temperature of its immediate environment. In this case, your body temperature. Wick away the moisture, and you help regulate the temperature. The more Merino in the mix, the more moisture wicking, and the more temperature control. On the Hot side, you may prefer a sock with a lesser Wool content (ex: 50%-60% vs 60%-95%) which will wick away moisture a little slower, and possibly keep you feeling a little cooler.
• Sensitive Feet – Crafted from Aussie Merino Wool & even softer Mercerized Cotton, and double-side finished so that there are no loose threads to snag toes or irritate your feet, this sock wears smooth to the touch. The Secret? Humphrey Law starts with the softest, strongest, apparel grade Merino (25 micron). Inside, your foot is surrounded by Terry Knit Wool, maximizing moisture wicking by putting more fleece against your feet. Aussie Merino will not lay down and die when put under pressure like other natural and synthetic fibers. It bounces back. This resilience means your socks provide shock absorption for your feet. Blending the Merino with even softer Mercerized Cotton helps make this sock wear even softer for those with sensitive feet.
• Sweaty Feet – We all tend to operate at different temperature settings. Whether you “Glow”, “Perspire”, or flat out “Sweat” the best thing you can do for your feet is let them sweat in pure Australian Merino Wool. Aussie Merino is Water Repellant, but Vapor Absorbent, and can wick away up to 35% of its dry weight in moisture (water vapor), without feeling damp. The Mercerized Cotton and Coolmax act as moisture reservoirs. The Terry knit wool passes the moisture off to the other fibers, which in turn vents excess moisture away from your feet and out of the sock. Helping to keep your feet dry, comfortable, and healthy on the most demanding days.

Merino’s anti-microbial attributes also help fight the foot fungus we don’t speak about in polite company, but which grows, spreads, itches, and burns, when given a warm, humid environment within which to flourish.
